Hope of the Arrival!

The Annunciation, 1472~ Leonardo di Vinci Uffizi, Florence "Where there's hope, there's life.  It fills us with fresh courage and makes us strong again." ~Anne Frank ❗ There's nothing as anticipated as a new baby.  Have you been to a gender reveal?  People are so creative in how they disclose the sex of their baby to be- both to each other and to their friends and family.  Creative and a little bit crazy.  ❗ One couple used their favorite alligator to bite into a watermelon to reveal the sex.  Another couple used a baseball and bat to reveal, but the husband swung and missed, with the ball hitting the grandfather in the face.  Whoops.  ❗ Another expectant dad was running to kick a revealing football but slipped, fell and broke his ankle.  My son loves golf so my daughter-in-law let him hit a golf ball that exploded either blue or pink.  No injuries. ❗ Announcements are so much fun, but I don't think any has been anticipated for as long (...

God is in Control...

Google image "The circumstances we ask God to change  are often the circumstances God is using to change us." ~Mark Batterson, pastor   Who knows what the end of this day holds?  God does.  And He is not waiting for the polls to close.   He is in control, always has been and always will be.  He is the Alpha and Omega (the first and the last).     Maybe this election season and our nation that is in turmoil has been a refining moment for all of us to decide who we are and what we want to be about in this broken world.  The last few years have been exhausting in some ways, right?     Let's surrender our control (and election results) back to God.  Just ponder each of these verses-they are just some of many that remind us who is in control- and ask God to bring you peace in your heart and mind. "Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests ...
